The Greensboro Scottish Rite Bodies will confer their annual Ceremony of Remembrance on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Greensboro Masonic Temple.
Traditionally, the Extinguishing of the Lights ceremony is held on Maundy Thursday and the Relighting of the Lights is held on Easter Sunday. The Greensboro Scottish Rite Bodies have been granted special permission to confer both ceremonies together on the night of their last stated meeting before Easter.
The Ceremony of Remembrance is one of the Scottish Rite’s very few public ceremonies and is open to the public. This ceremony is a profoundly beautiful and powerful observance of Easter. All Masons, their families and friends are invited. A catered meal will be served after the ceremony. Please contact the Greensboro Scottish Rite Office with your RSVP as soon as possible if you plan to stay for dinner.
